Robbo’s Ravings

The club started when the restoration of my mini was completed in late 2004. I looked around for a club to join but the other clubs already formed in Gladstone seemed to be for specific types of cars and mine didn’t quite fit in.

I put an add in the Community Notice Board section of the local paper. I called a meeting to gauge the response to the idea of forming a new car club for “classic” cars. Interested people met at Lions Park (near McDonalds) on the 17th October 2004. Unbeknownst to me, an announcement had been made at the drags the night before. I was certainly surprised by the number that came, and it was encouraging.

The club was officially incorporated on the 11th March 2005.All membership fees fall due on the 3rd Sunday in January each year. You should attend this meeting to renew your annual membership of $40. Please bring correct money if you can. If you can’t make it on that day you can catch me up later or you can transfer the funds into our account.
